We thank the reviewers for the thoughtful feedback in these difficult times caused by the global COVID-19 pandemic. QM9 is used for training, the model must be based on LCAO, and QDF achieved high extrapolation performance. We emphasize that even this LDA-like HK map achieved high extrapolation performance. We will address this in future work. Of course, QDF can be proposed without a comparison to GCN.
How to live a good life in difficult times: Yuval Noah Harari, Rory Stewart and Maria Ressa in conversation
W hat happens when an internationally bestselling historian, a Nobel peace prize-winning journalist and a former politician get together to discuss the state of the world, and where we're heading? Yuval Noah Harari is an Israeli medieval and military historian best known for his panoramic surveys of human history, including Sapiens, Homo Deus and, most recently, Nexus: A Brief History of Information Networks from the Stone Age to AI. Maria Ressa, joint winner of the Nobel peace prize, is a Filipino and American journalist who co-founded the news website Rappler. And Rory Stewart is a British academic and former Conservative MP, writer and co-host of The Rest Is Politics podcast. Their conversation ranged over the rise of AI, the crisis in democracy and the prospect of a Trump-Putin wedding, but began by considering a question central to all of their work: how to live a good life in an increasingly fragmented and fragile world? People have been arguing about this for thousands of years.

LinkedIn's AI job coach can write your cover letters and edit your resumé
Last year, LinkedIn began experimenting with AI-powered tools for job seekers on its platform. Now the company has added a bunch of new capabilities for its premium subscribers who are #OpentoWork, including personalized resumé, AI-assisted cover letters and more conversational job searches. The changes are meant to speed up some of the most tedious aspects of looking for a new role. For example, the revamped job search feature now allows you to look for roles with queries like "find me a marketing job that's fully remote and pays at least 100,000 a year," or "find business development roles in biotech." Those are all relatively simple descriptions but anyone who has searched for jobs on LinkedIn (without the help of AI) knows that it can often be a struggle to narrow down job listings with keywords.

I Chatted With a Therapy Bot to Ease My Covid Fears. It Was Bizarre.
On a hot afternoon in June, I downloaded a free mental health app called Woebot. I was feeling somewhat worn out and anxious from too many hours reading news about the double pandemic of Covid-19 and systemic racism, and the hubris of too quickly reopening the country. Woebot claimed it could help. "I'm an emotional assistant," Woebot explained, after asking about my mood, which was sluggish and pessimistic. "I'm like a wise little person you can consult with during difficult times, and not so difficult times."

Gather AI, Revolutionizing Inventory Management One Drone at a Time
Recently, I had the pleasure of visiting one of the most innovative AI companies in Pittsburgh. Gather AI, an autonomous inventory management AI company, which is revolutionizing the warehousing industry as the title mentions "one drone at a time." Gather AI's founding team is made up of three graduates from Carnegie Mellon University's Robotics Institute, which includes co-founder and chief robotics officer Sankalp Arora, co-founder, and chief technology officer Daniel Maturana, and co-founder and chief security officer, Geetesh Dubey. Gather AI uses state of the art robotics, classic AI methods, and a deep learning engine to enable autonomous inventory monitoring and management, which uses a fleet of drones. Each drone is fully autonomous and paired to a tablet device, which provides inventory data.
Unmanned stores using biometrics, artificial intelligence to be tested at Singapore university campuses
Unmanned store concept adoption has increased in retail, as a growing number of convenience stores are to embrace the concept by the end of the year, Singapore retail companies Octobox, OMO Store and Pick & Go recently announced at the Singapore Retail Industry Conference and Exhibition, writes The Strait Times. Deployments such as palm scanners will allow shoppers to enter the kiosk, RFID will keep track of items purchased and AI will monitor movement inside the kiosk. These features as well as smart cameras and smart shelves will be used in data analysis to improve shoppers' journey and experience. The retail industry in the area is struggling with a lack of employees and severe competition from online retailers, but also suffers from "downside risks and the many uncertainties around the world," explained Trade and Industry Minister Chan Chun Sing at the event. With help and support in developing the concept from government agency Enterprise Singapore, Singapore retail companies hope to overcome the difficult times through innovation.
Video games and mental health: 'Nobody's properly talking'
We've all heard the headlines: Video games cause addiction, violence, and distress. Ludectrophobia (a fear of video games - but we all knew that) has evolved since the 1980s as each decade brought new concerns. "Gaming disorder" is now even an official medical condition. Video game producer Johnny Chiodini says it's important to look at the good done by games. His YouTube series Low Batteries examines how video games help players cope with their mental health struggles.

AI WARNING: Google chief predicts DIFFICULT TIMES with rise of artificial intelligence
Experts are looking at ways to create AI which will ultimately benefit humanity and Google's director of engineering, Ray Kurzweil, backs up that theory. However, he insists mankind will have to endure "difficult episodes" on the way to achieving machine learning which falls in line with our goals. Mr Kurzweil said at the Council on Foreign Relations (CFR) in Washington, DC, that technology is a "double-edged sword" which has helped and hindered humans, and he expects the same of AI. The 69-year old said: "Technology has always been a double-edged sword. Fire kept us warm, cooked our food and burned down our houses.
Travis Kalanick trying to make a comeback as CEO
After Meg Whitman dismissed speculation that she is replacing Travis Kalanick as Uber's CEO, the board is struggling to find someone to fill the company's top spot. Amidst the disorganization of the board, Kalanick continues to meddle despite the fact that he stepped down in June, according to Recode. The outlet reported that Kalanick has been telling people that he is'Steve Jobs-ing it', a reference to the Apple founder who was fired and then returned to the company. Sources have said Kalanick is trying to stay involved in daily operating decisions and is having a difficult time letting go of the company. Top executives are now hoping they can look to the board for help, the outlet said.
